The complete Perazzi range is designed around two basic actions;-

The MX8 with non selective detachable triggers, normally fitted with v-springs, or the MX12 which has a fixed trigger system, with single selective trigger, and coil springs.

Both actions share the same proven locking system making barrels, forends and most of the basic parts interchangeable. However because of the difference in the trigger systems the stocks are not interchangeable.

This also applies to their 20g equivalents.

Standard models have a black action (the MX12 with border engraving).

After standard models the levels of engraving are common to both MX8 and MX12 derivatives:

MX8

All current Perazzi models have stemmed from the proven MX8 action, designed by Daniele Perazzi for the 1968 Olympics.

The MX8 has won more Olympic, World and International Trap competitions than any other gun and is justifiably known as the “Ferrari of shotguns”.

The MX8 is primarily used for trap disciplines and features a detachable trigger unit, usually with V – springs, no selector and normally firing bottom barrel first.

As with all Perazzi’s, the gun is available totally bespoke, with many options available. The same features will be found in the 20g equivalent, the MX8/20, This action is also used in the MX2000/8, MX2000/3, MX2005 and MX2008.

MX12

The MX12 has the same basic action as the MX8. However it has a non detachable fixed trigger system, coil springs and with barrel selector operating through the safety catch.

In standard form, either black or nickeled action, the MX12 is border engraved.

The MX20 and MX28 are on scaled down actions with the MX410 built on the 28g action.

The MX12 action, with the selector, is the favoured choice for most Sporting Clays and Game shooters and is used by World Champion George Digweed and many other top shots.

Perazzi offer an affordable bespoke service with deliveries within an acceptable time scale. Customers also have the opportunity of visiting the factory for stock fitting and wood selection.
