This cartridge was brought out together with its rimmed companion cartridge in 1990. It is a very fast, high-power cartridge in 6.5mm caliber. The 8.2 gram KS makes an all-round bullet for the 6.5x65 RWS. Using the KS, one can sensibly cover the entire hunting spectrum - for medium-sized game from the chamois up to fallow deer. The 6.5x65 RWS is highly suitable for hunting in the mountains - from chamois and ibex to hunting red deer in Scotland.
