6.5x55 in Oryx, Alaska, Vulkan or Nosler BST

Oryx means good accuracy, massive mushrooming and high residual weight. This bonded design suits the all-round hunter who wishes to simplify the choice of cartridge for hunting. Bonding involves soldering together the bullet jacket and core to produce a uniform structure preventing separation or fragmentation on impact, even after striking dense bone. Thanks to its excellent performance, in a very few years Oryx has become the most popular of the Norma bullets.

The Alaska is a classic among Scandinavian moose hunters and is loaded in most common calibres for moose. This is a well-proved softpoint bullet with a soft gilding metal jacket which gives rapid and massive mushrooming.

The Vulkan is a classic hunting bullet with a thin front jacket to give rapid mushrooming and high energy transfer. The jacket is folded at the tip to protect the lead core against recoil damage in the magazine. This is a very popular bullet for wild boar and red deer hunting.

The Ballistic Tip was developed for hunting smaller game at extended ranges. Accuracy and expansion are the characteristics of this hunting bullet, which was constructed to provide minimal aerodynamic drag and good flight properties. The boat tail base and polycarbonate tip ensure very flat trajectories at all velocities.
