Congratulations Isabel Moore!

Congratulations Isabel Moore!

Congratulations Isabel Moore for her success at the ISSF World Championships.

Isabel was selected to attend the ISSF World Championships in Changwon, South Korea representing Great Britain. In a world class under 21 field she achieved 3rd place in her qualifying race and 5th place in the final. When considering Isabel is just 14 years old this was a fantastic achievement. Her best moment came later however in the Target Sprint team event where she took a bronze medal. She is now looking ahead to the final round competitions of the 2018 season with the Welsh Championships in September and the British Open, ISSF World Tour and the National Series Final all taking place during October.

Isabel started shooting 2.5 years ago at her local club, Aldingbourne District Target Shooting Club. She rapidly grew to love the sport and was introduced to Target Sprint by Gorgs Geikie from British Shooting.

Her first target sprint competition resulted in a gold medal in the Surrey round of the 2016 national series and culminated with a 4th place in the national series final in 2017. In October 2017 Isabel was selected to be part of the GB Target Sprint team, this year she competed in Italy at the Walther Trophy finishing as the highest placed GB athlete in her category and also competed in the Netherlands at the Dutch open along with further gold medals being won at the Southampton and Yate rounds of the national series.  She has always favoured RWS pellets and finds that the R10 pellets give her an advantage when it comes to consistent and accurate results.
